(Yes. I'm real mature.)
The things:
Sawyer-centric Lost episodes. Sigh.
I actually, hold on to your hats, scheduled a vacation yesterday for June. A whole WEEK. As a side note, anyone know any good deals for attractions in San Diego for a family of three who
Reasonable folks. Isn't it great to see fundamentalists, progressives, and every other stripe united to take a stand against ridiculously obvious inanity and amorality? A side effect of the mind-blowingly over-the-topness of recent extremist douchebaggery is that at least some people who were heretofore stubborn jackass holdouts about a few topics are starting to open their eyes. It doesn't make up for it, but it's nice.
Lizards.
All of a sudden, we've got tons of 'em, scuttling up and down our backyard wall, eating our spiders (not the black widows, though). Would you believe I'm lacking in comprehensive lizard field guides? (I know. My son is ashamed of me.) Expect pictures and ID-this-please posts soon.
Did you know you can rock a bun hairstyle for days and look presentable? On a related note, I need to find my hairbrush.
I interviewed a guy for an upcoming story, and as a side effect, got to geek out and generally have a great time. (His license plate? "BBLBROX.") Also, my son has toted around a space rock for a week. If you're in Arizona, I'm sure he'll subject you to it very soon. My job is pretty cool.

Girlfriend, what is your JOB? And I have a lizard I can sell you, cheap.
Oh, and you lie. You cannot "rock" a bun hairstyle EVER. Well, unless you put chopsticks in them and let them stick above your head like antennae. Hey, that's a good idea for a bug lover.
Ha; my job is still freelancer. It's a lot more fun when I get gigs, a lot lot more when I like said gigs.
I like to THINK I rock a bun hairstyle, but I'm sure you're right. I also wore a giant purple sweatshirt out of the house the other day, so my judgment and standards might not be what they should be.
The Creature isn't fun anymore? :(
you are a funny girl! will read on...but i wanted to say thanks for commenting on a photo on flickr! there are soooo many great photographers here in tuctown! lovely to sorta kinda meet you...
We went to San Diego two summers ago. We liked the san Diego Zoo, it was my faorite. But believe it or not, even at 8 and 12, my kids favorite thing was Legoland. Scan on line for discounts for zoo tickets, we bought ours on line before we left. I think I can send you a couple of Legland coupons since Tom has a subscription to Lego Master magazine. That might mean a free pass, and then our Entertainment book has a coupon offer.
Please excuse all of the typos in the previous posting.
Wow; cool. Thanks, Heather! I hadn't even thought about Legoland.
Hazel: Thank you! Good to "meet" you too!
