I see you ...I Love Love Love your birds! best ever! I see you like the turkey vultures. I love them also. I have a group that spends the winter here at my place in Texas. I would like to know if others have these birds and feel they communicate and play with people. Mine follow me on the lawnmower and car! Anyway, I am brendasue of Rainbow Creek. I invite you to see the blogpost I did last night about these birds. I am just a beginner photographer and dream of taking images like you have! Thank You and nice to meet you.
http://katescabinbirdsanctuaryintexas.blogspot.com/Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17484950313016614405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7607828889416086008.post-42094044866226260672011-09-15T19:01:23.530-07:002011-09-15T19:01:23.530-07:00Thanks, Nathaniel. They're all quite lovely. I went to the Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo, NY this Saturday and we watched the Earthquest Birds of Prey show. They had an awesome horned owl and an enormous Andean condor, but they also had a really rad vulture. I used to draw them as a kid, and I always enjoy it now when you post photos or wax rhapsodic about them.Nathaniel Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05558786380171533593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7607828889416086008.post-5886449521357322902011-09-13T16:02:47.132-07:002011-09-13T16:02:47.132-07:00Mary Cartledgehayes: Thanks! We seem to have more of them in the southern part of our state (RI) than the northern part. There are a lot more farms there and fields.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07400445074212050525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7607828889416086008.post-70701868438543873592011-09-13T06:16:53.116-07:002011-09-13T06:16:53.116-07:00Fabulous photos! It was a blast to watch.

My son was watching a bird the other day and I commented on it being a vulture, to which he responded: "Oh, cool! We have watched them hunt, play, and fly off in a disgusted huff when I wasn't as impressed as I was when I thought I was watching a falcon.
That's okay. When I saw a falcon, I at first thought I was watching another vulture.Lisa Magoch Johnsonhttp://thecompostheap.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
